Doing something new is hard. For many of us, finding a gym that feels inclusive, non-judgmental & unconditionally welcoming can be really challenging. The process of getting started can make us anxious and keep us from taking the first step - we know the feeling. We want to support you in trying new things.

So, we want you to have everything you need to know about getting started with a NoBeFit! Coach. We work with ALL bodies, fitness levels, ages, genders & everything else that makes you uniquely you.


How PERSONAL TRAINING AT NoBE works

Step 1: Initial Consultation & Assessment

At NoBe, we believe meaningful progress starts with a strong coach–client relationship built on open communication, collaboration, and trust.

On your first day, you’ll begin with a 60-minute conversation with your coach. This is an intentional, unrushed discussion designed to help us understand you as a whole person. We’ll talk through your life outside the gym—your stressors, support systems, goals, exercise and injury history, sleep patterns, and nutrition habits—so your plan fits your life, not the other way around.

Following this conversation, your coach will guide you through a movement assessment to better understand your physical starting point. Using everything we learn, your coach will create a plan tailored specifically to you and your current abilities. This includes a personalized fitness program, individualized nutrition guidance, and habit and lifestyle coaching that support both your training and your day-to-day life.

Step 2: One-on-One Onboarding Session

Your first workout is completed one-on-one with your coach and is focused entirely on helping you feel comfortable, confident, and prepared for ongoing training at NoBe.

During this session, your coach will walk you through the day-to-day training experience step by step—how to read your workouts, where to set up on the floor, how sessions flow, how to log your results, and how to communicate with your coach when you need support. There’s no pressure to perform or push limits; the goal is simply to learn the process and feel at ease in the space.

This session is about setting you up for success so that when you walk in for your next workout, you know exactly what to expect and feel confident doing it on your own.

Step 3: Ongoing Training & Monthly Consultations

At NoBe, ongoing training takes place during our coached floor times, a small-group format designed to give you both structure and flexibility.

During these sessions, each client is assigned their own personal space to complete their individualized workout. Every session is fully coached—you’ll always have a coach on the floor to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide feedback—while still allowing you to train on a schedule that works for your life, rather than being tied to a single coach’s availability.

This format is a key part of how we build both community and confidence at NoBe. You’ll work alongside others, learn from your coaches, and develop the knowledge and autonomy to feel comfortable in the gym. Some days you may want more hands-on support; other days you may prefer to move more independently. Over time, our goal is to empower you to understand your training, trust your body, and feel confident walking into the gym—without someone constantly watching over your shoulder.

Your coach continues to support you well beyond the gym floor. Each week, they review your training results and progress your workouts intentionally based on how you’re moving, feeling, and recovering. You’ll receive weekly check-ins from your coach, and you’re always welcome to message them whenever questions, challenges, or wins come up.

In addition, you’ll meet with your coach for a 30-minute monthly consultation. These conversations are your time to review progress, adjust goals, plan for travel or schedule changes, and talk through anything that feels important in your journey—whether that’s training, habits, mindset, or life outside the gym. This ongoing communication and individualized progression ensure your program continues to evolve with you, providing both accountability and support every step of the way.
